More pictures from Paris

The next day was my friend Sophie's birthday. We got together at a Chinese restaurant that was easy to get to for everyone. Afterwards, we took these photos outside, although not scenic, it was our only chance!

Clockwise, starting at Talia, Lassamie, Ronnie, Daniel, Davina and Arouny.

Lassamie is really tall, only 6 months older than Ronnie. Arouny is only two months older than Davina.

Then we headed to Daniel's uncle's house in Vincennes. Everyone was a little tired from the night before. Roland (Daniel's cousin) and his wife Isabelle couldn't come because of another commitment. They were showing off their impressive weight loss (16 and 14 kilos respectively, I think).

From left to right is Françoise (Daniel's sister), her son Nicholas and Daniel's aunt Jeanette is on my other side. I get a little bored at these gatherings!

That's Yona, Arnaud's daughter and girlfriend Sandrine with Talia.

Talia showed off a little...

Davina and Talia with Yona.

Ronnie with Yona's brother Ilan.

Cousin Josephine (Roland's daughter) got in on the act.

Roland's two girls Josephine and Rosalie (Jo & Ro). They were more into eating those cookies than having their photo taken!
By the way, the driveway was locked, as were all cars parked there. I checked (as I'm really into child safety, especially with cars).

These were not easy to take!
Left to right; Jo & Ro, Davina, Talia holding Yona and Ilan.

So to recap, these are my kids' second cousins. Jo & Ro are Yona and Ilan's first cousins. Nicholas and Samantha (not pictured but were there) are my kids' first cousins. Got that straight??

The next day, before heading home, I stopped with the girls to see the closed-off Champs-Elysée with the agricultural expo. I wanted to at least show them the baby pigs! I also wanted to see the novelty of seeing the Champs-Elysée blocked off like this.

Disaster! First of all, it was really hot, which was good after all that bad weather we've been having but there were baracades which effectively blocked us in or out. It was absolutely packed and uncomfortable. No one was selling waters or anything like that. We ended up just leaving and finding a café without seeing any piglets.

Quite honestly, the 4 hour drive is a bit too long for a weekend. I will insist on taking the train, even if we need the car there in the future, or it has to be a longer break!
