Museum of Natural History

The day after Christmas, Marshall took us and Evan to the Museum of Natural History in San Francisco. I went as a little kid on school field trips but it's recently been entirely redone.

The wait was really long, over an hour and we already had tickets. The kids though were able to run around Golden Gate Park and I took some of these statue pictures.

Funny how this was a monument to Goethe and Schiller when Goethe used to live in Strasbourg.

This was the only picture I took of the aquarium downstairs;

This very ugly sea turtle attracted my children's attention like no other exibit. The following photos are what happened when I gave them my camera;

I was more interested in the albino Crocodile:

Talia was facinated with the skeletons and insisted on taking pictures of all of them. I remember these from my original visits in childhood. Here are our ancestors! They haven't changed...

Here are some close-ups of the unique roof. There are seven hills, to represent the seven hills of San Franciso. It was a beautiful day and a great view. My kids wanted to go back down after 2 nano-seconds.

The kids had fun playing with the floor lighting exibit. They definitely didn't have this when I went there as a kid!
