I headed up to Sacramento to see Alice, whom I know from Hong Kong (North Point). It's fun because I have two girls and a boy and she has two boys and a girl. Her girl is in between the ages of my girls and my one boy is in between her two.
It makes for a lot of children, a lot of noise and lots of gratitude that she has a big house up there!

I love this of Talia. She would really like to have a pet!
The next day we went for Dim Sum. Apparently they like to do this "look over there in awe" when doing group shots. It was fun. Sort of like the scream technique to get kids to smile for pictures (make them scream, shut up and then snap). I'll try this too.
We had a quick dinner and then made our pilgrimage to Leatherby's, the ice cream place near her house.
We didn't get a posed shot but this picture has all six kids.
We just kind of threw all the kids down on the floor with blankets. I slept in one of the boy's rooms.
This poor cat Shadow was the star of the show. Tortured by three little girls, I finally had to intervene.

They could be nice to Shadow too, sometimes...
