Ascension Day

Just a quick update; Talia came home. Unfortunately, she brought along some uninvited guests. She wasn't even bothered and had washed her hair that morning. She seemed clean, unlike her sister who was immediately thrown in the shower. But Davina's hair was bug-free. Talia had a whole colony.

Called the teacher to call her colleague in Germany to warn the family. I do check them but she must have just gotten it (perhaps on the way up) and I felt they should know.

The one advantage was that her sheets, etc. were all washed already...

Nobuko is still here, doing a lot of cooking (yeah! not my favorite task)

Still no sink or counter. I'm kind of getting used to the routine, going downstairs with the dishes, using a pitcher in the kitchen and dumping liquids into the dishwasher. So glad just to have a stove, dishwasher and oven, I'm not too fussed about the sink.

I'm also so happy to get out of the house and do stuff, instead of babysitting workers and the open house (we had to open all the doors to get around because often the kitchen was blocked. Got the clothing repairs done!

It's Ascension Day here in France. Well, everywhere really but it's a day off. Kind of didn't want the disruption but then again, hey, it's a morning to sleep in. Made the kids and Nobuko French Toast.
