Last Sunday, we were there at 8am to do the second and last part of Talia's "Coupe Formation". Since there was school on Saturday...that meant no weekend for us!!!
Oh well...Martyr Mother...
She did pretty well but was disappointed with her score of 203. She only needed 160 to get it and all the girls managed that. They did give a reward to the girl with the highest score, although this was not strictly a contest. She had 260.
Meanwhile, our little friend Krista won for all of Alsace with a score of 335.

It was still a good experience for Talia. She was one of the youngest. The group was maily those born in 2001 and there were plenty who were older. Talia was born at the end of 2001. In France, they always divide things by birth year.
Waiting her turn to go on;

Yesterday, without warning, a letter arrived. Turns out that the competitive branch of Strasbourg G.R.S. (gymnastics rhythmic et sportive) have noticed her and want her to try for their 6-8 year old group. A very nervous mother is going to take her on Wednesday morning. I've already been warned that they note the parents' heights on the paperwork so she could get rejected for reasons entirely out of her control (body type, projected height & weight, etc.)
