I'll explain. Strasbourg GRS used to have a Christmas party. Well, sports-mad, bad weather Alsace has a shortage of indoor sports areas so they couldn't book last year. They came up with the MUCH better idea of having their party in January, when there is less going on. "Fete des Reines" comes from "Fete des rois" or "King's Day". Since GRS is an exclusively female sport, they changed "king" to "queens", which although translates badly into English (especially for someone from S.F.), it doesn't have the same connotation in French.
Talia torturing Davina before the show.
Davina performed with her pre-school group (directly translated). They have a new coach so it was a bit different than previous shows.
The parachute thing with the balloons was cute and Davina really liked it.

Sorry, can't get the embedding to work and you may have to copy and paste this. Thank you blogger!
Buh-bye!
Time to watch the others
Talia's turn. She's on the right. I was badly placed for photos.
Second from right.
Left to right, Clara, Ela, one of the twins (Clara or Catia), Alexis, Emilie and Talia. The other twin is out of the photo but you get the idea.
Geting a hug from her Papa after the show.
So afterwards, instead of Santa Claus bringing candy, the three kings did the honors.
I think this was Davina's favorite part, getting the candy.
