The most logical compromise was that I fly, by myself, just for a day.
We met 23 years ago on Kibbutz Ramat David, although we haven't seen each other for 11 years, my last time in Israel;

I flew Arkia Airlines, the same company I took to Eilat 11 years ago, at five times the price! No more interline benefits and it was last minute at the height of the tourist season...
Amanda lives in Rehovot, which is basically a suburb of Tel Aviv, going towards Jerusalem. Her husband works at the Weitzmann Institute;

He's working on lasars, which will eventually kill tumors from the inside without surgery, more effective too.
What's that weird thing on Iddo's building??

Their house which they had built;

Their dogs. Ruby is the smaller one in front and Max is the boy facing away;

A garden with a passion fruit tree. Those go for over 9 euros a kilo in our local grocery store (and of course, aren't as good);

Cute pond with real Koi;

Sunset from her rooftop;

The last time I saw Doron and Matan, they were three years old and Amanda was pregnant with Noa.
The kids hanging out downstairs;

Amanda's beadwork. She now has her own site selling her things;

Her older daugher Doron modelling a necklace;

Their small dog, which has to be kept upstairs to keep it from being dismembered by the two much-bigger downstairs dogs;

Doron wanted to be in the picture so Amanda showed me how to take a picture while holding the camera. I look yuk!

that's better, although I still look yuk...

We did a little shopping at the local mall-bought bras because Amanda wasn't happy with the ones I brought.
